When I became a mum, I craved ME-time - but every class seemed to revolve around bringing your baby. I needed connection with women who got motherhood, without everything being about motherhood.
Most fitness spaces don’t acknowledge how deeply our bodies (and minds) change after becoming mums. I created MoveFit Mama as a place where you can move safely, meet other mums, and reconnect with you - no nappy bags required.✨
It’s a space to reclaim your identity, build strength, and have fun… all on YOUR terms. 💜
I want our classes to be curated FOR you and BY you. So our workouts are designed specifically with mums in mind and the playlists are voted in by YOU.... (PS. No bright lights or mirrors here either bbz - so you can feel comfortable to give it ALL you got)

Our workouts are high intensity, but low-impact. All designed to restore your core and pelvic floor while building strength and tone in your arms and legs. No technical dance experience needed - just simple, effective moves (with just the right amount of strut). Because let’s be honest… you can’t do Mariah without a strut! 💁♀️
In our classes you're taught around three simple moves before every single song, so you get a chance to know what's coming up. We repeat these moves throughout the routines PLUS - I'm with you dancing the ENTIRE time, so you can follow along as and when.
Every week our classes are powered by ICONIC themed playlists - think Movie soundtracks, Girl Groups, Throwbacks, BRITNEY!
We run a playlist vote on our social media stories - so you get to choose what we’re dancing to next. The winning themes are announced on our socials, and the fresh batch of classes drops on our bookings page.
Our weekly classes held in Pocklington are every Monday at 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 9:00 AM! 🙌
Our York Pop-Up Parties are held once a month, with the hope to bring them to you weekly by Autumn time! 🤞
Classes are released on our booking page in batches.
The Weekly Pocklington MoveFit Mama dance fitness classes are currently held at Burnby Community Hall.
The Monthly MoveFit Mama Pop-Up Parties are held in the Sports Hall at The Mount School, York.
ALL CLASSES ARE PAY AS YOU GO.
The Weekly Classes in Pocklington are £5.50 per class for the full hour.
The Monthly Pop-Up Parties in York are £8.50 for the full 90 minutes (as it includes a half hour social too 💋).

The music will be turn't up, and look, I've got to be honest - I've got a potty mouth when it comes it pumpin' you guys up! I LOVE all the places where you can bring your baby, but this one - she ain't it babes. This is your power hour girly.
If you've ever danced in your bedroom, at a club, or even simply swayed your hips with a hair brush lip-syncing into your mirror as a child, then you're already a pro.
Each workout consists of really simple steps that you can follow and modifications are always available. If in doubt, step it out, I say.
All you have to do is keep moving.
And if that means walking on the spot whilst belting out your favourite tunes? Then so bloody be it!
IN SHORT... NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A MUM!
Everyone can benefit from these classes, there's no hard or fast rule that you need to be a mum. These dance workout classes are simply designed with mums in mind, so if you are recently postpartum, or coming back to exercise after a prolonged period away - you've found your workout space. 🤗
We focus on workouts that are high intensity, low impact, and effective. Moves that can cater for breastfeeding boobs (or just blessed girlies with bigger busts in general) and no floor work, so that we're wee and knee friendly too. Plus - core and pelvic floor strength is beneficial to anyone at any time in their life.
You will be taught a series of basic steps per song and modifications will be demonstrated along the way.
So if you want to turn up the heat🔥and make it harder for yourself - you can do. Alternatively, if there's some moves you need to ease up on - that option is there for you too. You can even switch HALF WAY through the song if you want to.
You can tailor every single workout to you, your ability and goals.
